Actual Viking pick time estimate?
#1
There's a 9ers site saying last year averaged 6.5 minutes per 1st round pick with 10 minutes per pick as the cap.  That'd put us at 10:15CST.  Thinking about catching the first couple....especially who's guaranteed to bust in Cleveland at 1 & 4 and then being a Dad for a while.

10ish sound about right if we even pick at all to you guys?

The last couple years I used the NFL Mobile app and just kept tabs on what was happening, well at least for the weekend picks when I was out and about, but it'll definitely be after 10, unless we massively trade up.

Na, we aren't trading up.  I'll download the app, good idea.  Now that you say it, I had it downloaded and deleted the last couple years as well.

Well here we go:  https://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/04/2018-nf...-team-pick

All in Eastern time:

25. Tennessee Titans – 11:06

26. Atlanta Falcons – 11:11

27. New Orleans Saints – 11:16

28. Pittsburgh Steelers – 11:21

29. Jacksonville Jaguars – 11:25

30. Minnesota Vikings – 11:29

31. New England Patriots – 11:34

32. Philadelphia Eagles – 11:39

So 10:15-10:30ish sounds about right.  I can probably make it that late lol.  Gotta be rolling bright and early.

Yeah, could be a long night with no payoff for thousands of purple draft partiers.

Exactly what I see happening.

The perfect excuse to party more.

I know you're answering in a joking form here but would you pretty much expect that we'll be trading back either from our 1st or 2nd round pick this year trying to pick up our lost 4th in the Bradford trade?

From a casual observer standpoint it feels right that we'd be trading out of the 1st this year.  But just a gut feeling on my part.

Hmmm, I think Spielman enjoys the first round, both the prestige/excitement and also the chance to get the 5th-year option. So my hunch is that he missed it last year and doesn't want to have another year without a #1 pick.
Doesn't it depend largely on whether someone is sliding towards our spot? He loves to pick a player who was expected to go higher and slipped: Sharrif Floyd, Teddy Bridgewater, Dalvin Cook are examples. So are there any guys who are "supposed" to go top 15 but might slide? Calvin Ridley, Da'Ron Payne??
