His stats were fine. Just like BRob did for years, it's not about the sacks. It's about stopping the run and pressuring the QB.

I can guarantee you that Everson doesn't have the great season he was having before getting hurt if Hunter isn't doing his job on the other side.

If Richardson does what is expected, Hunter should have a big year.

Hunter had a very good year last year. I know the sack numbers were not too impressive, but he does other things, too. He is in the backfield a lot.  I suspect the Vikings' coaches are pretty happy with his development.

And reading Geoff's statistics in the other thread casts a different perspective on Hunter as well...Too valuable of commodity at such an early stage of his career not to prioritize locking-up to an extension.

He now says he is 280? Roster still lists him at 252, guess he has bulked up a lot.
This tweet is probably part of his informal contract negotiations..

I saw that. 280 lbs may be a stretch. Who knows? he looks pretty big.  I took the numbers as given. I was just impressed with his athleticism for his size, whatever the actual weight is.
