Sign Keenum
#1
Like everyone I've been mulling over and going back and forth on which QB the Vikings should sign.  At this point the one that scares me the most would be Teddy but only because players with similar injuries have a bad track record of coming back.

I say forget Cousins.  He's an upgrade but assuming Kirk signs for $30Mish and Keenum is $20Mish I'm on the Case train.  Incentivize the deal for Case and bring back the continuity that we had from this past year.  Let the players grow together and make another attempt.  Use the savings from Keenum to bring in 1-2 quality FAs to solidify the lines.  Draft respectively and we'll have one hell of a team going into July.  I'd also attempt to bring Teddy in for camp competition if he's willing to do so.  I highly doubt he's going to get more than $5-6M unless its a smoke and mirrors deal that shows a big number but doesn't actually pay that well at the beginning.

So not that my opinion counts for anything but thats why they pay them the big bucks!!

Nothing wrong with this opinion.  Z’s latest comments make me think Teddy is his choice, but could just be posturing to keep Cousins price down.  i just cannot see Case getting 20 million a year.  I think many of us are so damn fatigued and want it to be over so we can know who our guy is

Blow our wad on Cousins?

or

Case, Sheldon Richardson...and maybe beat out the Falcons for Panthers G Andrew Norwell?

Just sayin'

nothing wrong with folks' opinions (or fantasies.....hubba, hubba)

It sounds like Case doesn't really want to be here.  I'm not sure it's a given that we can just sign him

That sounds like the exact opposite of what I've heard as well.

From an article in the Star Tribune just this week:
"Keenum and his wife love it in Minnesota. He made it very clear when the season ended that if things could work out financially, he definitely wants to end his career here."

Of course he had to add the perfunctory  financial caveat

Ben Leber has said that his sources tell him that Keenum is looking for a bigger deal at another organization.
