Broncos Ready To Go All In On Cousins
#1
Kirk Cousins - QB - RedskinsYahoo's Charles Robinson reports the Broncos are prepared to go "all-in" on free agent Kirk Cousins.
Robinson reports the Broncos have "examined scenarios" to clear up to $50 million in cap space this offseason. The Vikings have looked like the early favorites to land the market's top player, but the Broncos and Jets appear prepared to play ball. Cousins, at least temporarily, seems poised to become the highest-paid player in the league.Related: Broncos
Gut the team to sign a second tier QB...That will workout well...

Highest paid will be short-lived for Cousins and his contract will in a short time look like the deal we signed Hutchinson to during the Chilly years.  It'll be par for the course for the superbowl-less Vikings to lose to Jets or Bronco's on this one.

There's also a  reason Rogers hasn't signed yet.

every few years there is a cant miss have to have him QB prospect that is available via trade or even FA,  very very rarely do these guys pan out which is why I am having a hard time seeing where this one is the ticket to the holy grail.   the notion that not signing him will seal the fate of this team is preposterous.  if you want to talk about Viking fate... we sign him and lose to Teddy, Sam, or even Case.... that would be the Vikings way to crush our hopes.

I'd actually say it'd be a surprise if Teddy stays regardless of what happens with Cousins.

that saddens me a bit.  I was really hoping the kid could recover enough to earn his spot back here.

Agreed. When his name comes up with Zimmer, the first thing he says is what a great kid he is....not what a great player.

If the word is out that Teddy is leaving, I'm very curious who the front runner and then the top 3 would be for our QB of the future? Cousins? Case? Sam? Its getting interesting.
