Pros and Cons of Cousins

So, I'm trying to get behind the idea of Cousins at QB, but it's just not happening.  Those who are driven crazy by QBs throwing short of the sticks on third down are going to hate seeing Cousins.

He's starting to seem a lot like a Bradford/Dalton and we'll get to hear how the team let him down...

He's a Dalton, Bradpool, Palmer, Smith, etc... Why would the Skins let him go then give PICKS to go get an older smith?

because they couldnt justify his franchise tag costs and no way in hell would he resign with them after the pissing match history he had with snyder.  burnt bridge in DC,  they arent letting him go... he is leaving.

because they couldn't justify the franchise tag costs for the last few years? so how can we justify paying him 30M+? I will definitely back him if he becomes a Vike, but is he worth that? I want a solid, long-term option at QB as much as everyone else, but...?
We have the team, but can this guy get hot like FOLES? Keenum? If he will sign with us for 25-26M and let us keep building the team, go for it. Because then all it takes is us keeping the team together, a few solid draft picks, and him catching fire just like any other tier 2 QB. We know he can keep the numbers up for the next 5 years to keep us as a 10-6, 12-4 team with this roster. then all it will take is him catching fire at the right time.

I dont think we can either,   you asked,  I just said why. Wink

I am on board with him to about 25 myself,  after that we can likely to better with Sam or Teddy and adding more pieces around them and on D.  If its going to cost 30 million more a year to get a superbowl,  i would like to see it spread around so 1 injury doesnt derail the season, but in the front office we trust.

I would be on board with Cousins til about 26 myself. Just so we can have the SAME GUY for 5+ years that we know can produce stats. After that, get Teddy and Sam or Teddy and a legit 1a and go all in on FAs. Because regardless either scenario has us around 25M+
I want a guy like Richardson and 1 more legit DE to take some of the pressure off of EG97 - look how much our DL sunk after his foot got hurt. But look how a rotation kept the eagles going. Depth is key on D.
