The guaranteed $$ to Cousins really puts the hurt on GB with Rogers. Not in their ability to sign him, but their ability to put a great team around him. 

I'm sure they've been planful about the cap reservation for him, but maybe the guarantee part of Cousins contract halos in a negative way to the team to the East?

Hopefully it hurts them, but I will say, the speculation about Cousin's guaranteed money changing contracts is overblown.  Most contracts that size are going to last for 3 seasons, so they really are mostly guaranteed through 3 years anyway.  They just have extra exaggerated contract years added onto the 3 years.

Good hope. With luck, Matt Ryan will get an even bigger deal than Kirk, setting the Rodgers bar even higher. Maybe the Packers will be looking at $35M guaranteed.
