Burton is a good fit for the Vikings. I like Blount as well, all he does is win superbowls). I think his pounding style would be a perfect complement to Cook.

I could see spores  on a cheap contract   Blount only if Murray is realesed

Definitely easy to see Sproles coming in as a replacement for Jet, but Burton is probably wishful thinking. I think he's played himself into a starting role. He'll probably go to a team who can make him their TE1.

I am curious as to why all the interest in Eagles players.  Yeah, they won the SB but a couple of games ago we were all saying bring the Eagles on.  I am sure there are a ton of other choices around the league to target.

I am not advocating for any of them,  but it would help to potentially  ease the transition or aid in getting some new ideas and concepts worked in if flipper had a few of his guys spread around in the offense.

The player I like most on this list is Burton, but then I think...don't we already have a receiver who's 6'2", weighs about 230, and runs a 4.6 40? Treadwell could probably do all that Burton can do (possibly excepting trick pass plays). We heard all year that Treadwell and Floyd were playing well but just couldn't get opportunities with Diggs and Thielen and Rudolph catching so many passes. Unless DeFilippo can make one of our QBs spread the ball around more, adding receivers seems very minimal in value...

The fascinating question is did Shurmer dial up plays for Floyd, Treadwell and Wright that Case ended up turning into throws directed at Diggs/Thielen or did Pat want to (understandably) mostly go to the star WRs.

I think it was Shurmer as it sure didn't seem like there were many times at all where Case started to look for the other guys and came back to Adam and Stefon.

The reason I find this so interesting is that the Eagles had several good targets but no truly Elite pass catcher.

Will Flip come in and look to spread the ball around or will he see not one but two guys better than anything Pederson, Reich and he had in Philly and want to maximize their touches?

I hope it's the former. When a team makes you pay for doubling the best two threats by spreading the ball to the other options like the third and fourth string WRs, FBs, backup TEs, etc. that's a bad place for any Defense to be in.

NE, NO,.Philly, Pittsburg at times. The Elite Offenses feed their big dogs but also spread the touches around.

That does presuppose that Minnesota has viable pass catching options beyond Diggs, Thielen and Rudy, though. Flip may shed light on that very early next season.
