Zygi are you seeing this?

As much as I like US Bank Stadium, the food and drink prices are absolutely ridiculous.  It's bad enough the taxpayers/fans have to pay for so much of the construction of a new stadium.  Then when it opens, they raise the cost of the concessions through the roof.

Hopefully the Wilfs and US Bank Stadium follow Atlanta's lead.

dont count on it,   but it should be worth trying for them.  arent concessions separate from the team though... the team just gets a cut not actually in charge of menu and pricing?   I do remember Zygi wanting to have unique and better food so they might be running concessions?

Yah, not sure that's Zygmunt and not the MSFA or whatever they call themselves these days...Whomever it is, I hope it forces them to address some of the egregious pricing of food @ USB.

I expect to pay more for Revival Chicken or Gyro sandwich with Dill/Yogurt Sauce. Not $8 for a s hitty hot dog or $5 for a bottle of water.

Just don't buy it.  If enough people stop forking over cash, they'll figure it out.  I attend a few games/concerts a year and I used to go much more often.  Unless I have had a special guest of some sort with me, I can honestly say I haven't bought drinks or food at such events since 1999.  They can make their money elsewhere.  Hell, I won't even buy beer at the State Fair.

the ridiculous prices inside are why I was/am so demanding of tailgating outside.  we already pay out the ass for tickets,  why do they have to stick it to us at every opportunity.  whats next... pay toilets?

Shhh, don't give them the idea Jimmy!  Wink  They already make you pay to use toilets over in Europe, I'm sure it won't be long before that idea comes across the pond.

I know this is being touted as a good business move, but there isn't enough data to say that right now. What are the profit margins?

Let's say they were 75%. If they sold a million in food, it would have been $750K in profit.

Now, they reduce price by 50%, so now they make only 50% profit (If an item was a dollar, and the cost was 25 cents and they reduce the price to fifty cents, now it's 50% margin).

Now, they sold 16% more. So, $1.16M in revenue at 50% margin equates to $580,000 in profit. So.... they made less money than last year.

And that's assuming huge profit margins... if they were lower to begin with (landed margins in fast food tend to be anywhere from 5-30%), this was a stupid move.

Concession Neutrality... $25.99 gets you a burger right now at high speed. $8.99 also gets you the same burger, just at slower speeds upwards to 5 minutes...

the 25.99 burger also comes with a toilet pass,  the 8.99 burger... you better save your wrapper.

Not sure how this is Zygi's fault?
