Our defense was the problem more than anything. End of story. I think they read too many headlines the past few weeks. They would be a pimple on the ass of the 85 bears and 2000 ravens.

Keenum showed the weaknesses in his game tonight and the OL was exposed(with some injuries recently too)
Keenum is NOT and accurate passer and tonight he wasn't getting bailed out by remarkable catches. He was off target all night. Keenum also is mobile but not necessarily savvy 'within' the pocket, he had opportunities to move when he felt pressure but didn't feel it and move-he locked onto his targets. He also was responsible (and the OL) for all 3 turnovers that lead to 14 points. The defense sucked tonight but would have had to play it's best to keep them in the game the way to OL and QB played and I put plenty of blame at the feet of the OC for a very uninspired game plan and play calling.

But I think the holy grail is Kirk Cousins. He has at least 5 quality years left and he has not played on a legit team yet.

Sam and Teddy would have had a MUCH worse time behind that line play. They got pressure up the middle and both ends nearly every play. There was nowhere to run and ZERO time to plant his feet. He was running for his life nearly every play and having to get it out quick to avoid sacks.
He didnt give up all of those points. Our D is the biggest and favored part of the team. To win these big games you need stops, sacks and turnovers. We saw non of that. Made Foles look like a god.

Last night was maybe a silver lining, because it takes pressure off the front office to overpay Keenum or even commit to him. Outside of the purple koolaid crowd, the limits to his game have been apparent for some time, and I say that while also appreciating what he's done and the fire and competitiveness he brought to the team this year. But at the same, as I posted elsewhere, at least once a game he makes you close your eyes and pray that the wobbly wounded duck he just tossed up doesn't end up in the opponnent's hands or worse a pick 6.
If I were Spielman and the doctors assured me Bradfords knees were going to hold up, I'd target him as #1 and the future would be to see what Sloter can do. I'd let Case go find his market whatever that is, and see if Teddy wants to be #2 at lower $ (or maybe force the tolling issue? Probably not a great idea but possible?), though I think Teddy would probably rather find a desperate team to take cap friendly chance on him and his knees than be a backup. I don't know how much Zimmer's love affair with Teddy enters in this either. Regardless, the silver lining is that none of these three should cost top $ because of the question marks about all of them.

This is the time for the Teddy fanboys to poke their heads back out.
This was the NFCC game on the road. 13 regular season wins. An amazing win at US Bank. But now Keenum sucks....only on this board. We'll find out soon enough what the Vikings plan to do. And I'll support it. Hopefully, its the right decision.

The D completely shit the bed, and that's on Case? Wow...breath taking stupidity...
