Bill Burr's rant against Philadelphia
#1
Bill Burr (one of my all-time favorite comedians) was part of a comedy show outside in Philly a few years back.

The show lasted for hours. The Philly crowd had been obnoxious the whole night (surprising huh?). Booing the comics, heckling, talking loudly, etc.

The comic before Bill Burr got booed so badly that he cut his bit short and left the stage.

Bill Burr decides to do his whole 12 minutes and just rips into the the city and people of Philly. I think it's hilarious. A lot of other comics have since come out and said that Bill was their hero because all of them have wanted to go off on the crowd at some time in their career.

I thought some might like to see this. The audio is just okay and the video will start playing after a couple of minutes. It was recorded on someone's phone.

WARNING: Very graphic language.

The funniest thing is that as he goes off, the crowd is laughing!

Philly's trash people are worse than most cities' trash. Obnoxious, foul mouthed dumbasses. They revel in being big-mouthed dumb f*cks.

Just listened to a podcast where he explained the cheering. Apparently the venue was close enough that NY fans and DC fans were there, so when he started going if in the sports teams, NY, and DC fans were all in favor, and cheering him on.

I've never been to Philly, but a friend in college came back from a cross-country train trip noting that the two worst places he'd seen were Detroit & Philadelphia. Basically said, "If you are a West Coaster, stay away. It's like another world..."

Again... I have no experience in either location... Wink

Bill Burr is hands down my favorite comic too. I regularly go see him at the Comedy Store out here in CA. In fact, if you’re familiar with his Monday Morning Podcast he does a questions segment at the end where he answers listeners questions. I wrote in and he actually took my question on the show.

His latest podcast, however, he recorded Sunday night. You might enjoy this...

EDIT: Posting from my iPhone and the link won’t show up but YouTube “Bill Burr Vikings” and you’ll see what I mean.

I just watched it. Pretty cool. He even brought up Drew Pearson.

He's definitely not for everybody, but angry comedy is right up my alley.

There was seriously so little creativity in the insults, how do you even call it humor? There's got to be a tiny thread of the goof in it for it to be a joke. That had none. I'd like to say I must have missed something, but pretty sure I didn't.

There is a video of his reaction to the Diggs TD, I’m at work and too lazy to put up a link right now. quick search on YouTube should get it for you though.

Bill is one of my favorites, his take on him letting religion go is so good.
