He had HIGH praise for Sendejo and said the Vikings missed him when he got injured in the Saints game. Said having him back for the Eagles game will be big. He was on the Colin Cowherd show earlier today.

so I am confused.... does Dejo suck or not? Or is Harry just so fucking good that he alone makes them the best S duo in the league?

Sendejo used to be ... not very good. That's why we were always trying to replace him. He was a hitter, but nothing else. He was not good at all in coverage. Always arrived late. And sometimes he hit his own teammates. But he has gotten a lot better. He is now a real asset and the young guys behind him are not even close.

I have no interest in bashing any Viking player. And I love the idea that Sendejo has gotten himself to the point where his absence from the field is a real problem (which also means our backup safeties are not very good). But I'm not going to engage in revisionist history. Sendejo was not a good safety just a couple of years ago, whether compared to Smith or to any other good safety. But now he is and I am happy to celebrate that.

Quote: @dadevike said:obviously the coaches saw something, he got that extension after 15 for a reason, and as far as him being bad a couple years ago, we had posters bashing him a couple weeks ago. everybody likes to point out that we kept taking later round or undrafted safeties to try and replace him, or maybe it was the fact that our existing reserves were so bad they felt they needed to add talent to the position over all and if they found somebody better well thats a bonus. I dont think taking guys in the 7th round really count as trying to replace an apparent weakness.
