Agreed. He explained the situation, called it like a normal play and narrated it perfectly... and he got very excited at the end. He had the perfect amount of energy for a national announcer.

He was so excited that after his call of the play, when they stopped talking for about 40 seconds to let the fans do the talking, that when he started talking again, pardon my crude speech here, he sounded almost post-coital.
