Here's an interesting one -- league source says Vikings plan to dress Sam Bradford on Sunday vs. Saints. He hasn't suited up since Week 5 with a knee injury. Unclear if Teddy Bridgewater will also dress.
Sam to dress for NO, no word on Teddy

With the overall health of everyone on the team, I'd be shocked if they dress 3 QB's for the game. There's too many other positions that NEED the protection of a backup on the sideline more.

If you're saying Bradford gives us a better chance to win if Keenum goes down than Teddy, then why the hell sign Teddy next year?

It's certainly an eye-brow raiser.
They see both these guys in practice. So they know who's ready to go or not if god forbid needed on Sunday. What this means longer-term? That's a much more difficult question to answer in January.

Quote:There is nothing that says it has to be a quarterback that is released, so the Vikings could trim some depth at another position to make room. As far as what it means for Bradford, he likely would be the emergency No. 3 with Sloter inactive on Sunday should they choose to make the move.https://247sports.com/nfl/minnesota-viki...-113603360 So unless this author knows more than we do, I don't think the necessarily means much for Bridgewater.

I don't think Teddy is capable to play, he might still get there but I just don't think he's able to play again. I think it will come out in the offseason or maybe down the road just how dicey the Vikings QB situation was. Like we are talking weekend at Bernies type situation. The Vikings went most of the season with Case as the only QB that could play.

Well, I see it as this. Bradford had an amazing game against the Saints in week one. They may be thinking that they want him on the field due to past success vs. the Saints in this game incase Case goes down vs. TB. TB really has not seen any action accept a couple plays.
And not only an injury to Case - but I think they see Sam as better insurance if Case craps his pants in the first half thru the Third qtr. and they decide to make a change to try and save the game. Bradford might be more game ready? Interesting none the less. |
