It's like a running joke for 50 years - don't go to Philly and root for another team. When I was there on Sunday, I was largely left alone, but some made comments. They are not tough, they are gaining liquid courage and most would drop with one punch. I never felt for my safety.
I gave Pat Elflein's entire family a ride back to their hotel because they had been treated so badly for wearing their son's jersey, and they were afraid to walk to their hotel. Case Keenum has said that his family was also treated very poorly. Makes you wonder why such a historic city would want to foster this reputation. 2 guys got arrested for punching police horses. Who does that shit?
Here is a video of a Viking fan who says nothing, just walks to the stadium. Imagine your mom being treated like this. Shameful
And, then there is our pregame report. We did it from parking lot M, where we had to walk through lots A-L to get to the Viking tailgates. We risked it, and found much more reasonable fans.
