During the Jets-Patriots telecast, he mentioned that Minnesota's front 7 would be a difficult matchup for the Patriots.

I do believe, in all my years watching this team, that this is our best shot to not only get to the Super Bowl, but to win it. Hearing Romo, who knows what he's talking about more than the other commentators, say stuff like this is interesting.
If we can somehow get past a road Eagles team (I still think they'd have our number and would rise to the challenge), we MIGHT be competent against NE, but only because it's a "home game." We've got a MAJOR gift having the Super Bowl here this year. ... AGH this is gonna hurt so bad at some point haha

I could be wrong, but I truly believe with Nick Foles they're the worst team in the NFC field right now. And I think the Vikings would beat the Pats. I think a Steelers match up might scare me a little more. Especially if they get Antonio back.

Yes, we'd be playing on a surface we're familiar with, don't have to travel, etc. And I'm guessing we'd pull in more fans from MN, SD, IA, etc., than the other team, but probably not by much. I'm not even sure how Super Bowl tickets work. How are they distributed? And I'm pretty positive the Vikings wouldn't be able to blow the big horn, or use any of their "get loud" graphics. I'm genuinely curious how this would work if it comes to pass.

out of curiosity, how much of a home game will the SB be if the Vikes get to it, yes they have their locker room and the field, but how much of the corporate crowd will be screaming their heads off for the Vikes? How many die hards that blow the roof off that place will be able to shell out the $4000 bucks per seat and make it a real home game?

This is my opinion - but If we go to the SB - I want our team to treat this as a road game - no staying at home, stay at a Hotel. Too much going on during the two week build up to the game, and I want them to stay as a TEAM together and razor focused as possible with all the SB distractions going on! I think I would also go as far as to have our team practice at the College facility and have the AFC team use our Edan Prairie facility.
No G. Horn / Dragon / Coming out through the Bar etc. - I don't want to hear any shit from people saying we only won the game cuz we had some unfair advantage. I don't want to hear any excuses from, say, Packer Fans IF we WIN the game!! All that stuff would bring bad MOJO! As a team and player - I think Its MORE than enough to have the following gifts for hosting the SB on our home turf - you don't have to travel, your able to play on your home field and have your actual home locker room and the normal side of the field you use during games. AND you likely will have the majority of the Fan base in the stadium during the game. Im sure ALL Viking Ring of Honor jerseys will be gone for the game - It will be interesting if they change the Viking History museum to an NFL Super Bowl museum, and what else will change as far as decor in the stadium goes. Anyways, just my two cents
