Receivers Betraying Keenum Today

Carolina sure as hell didn't beat us as much as we beat ourselves... giving up two 60 yarders is not us...another drive aided by penalties...five drops...one starter left on the OL and we still could have won...sign of a very good team...
At first I was glad Sendejo didn't score on the TD, I wanted us to run more time off the clock. Boy was I wrong.

200+ yards rushing given-up today, granted 120 of em on 2 runs. That hurt to type that. D was getting gassed I think by the time Cam ran for his long one that iced the game.

They did a much better job of pass pro today than we did. Like I mentioned elsewhere, I don't think we're getting a great rush from the front 4 for a while now. Hunter and Griff in particular - I think they might be missing some push up the middle too.

Dejo cutting left was a WTF moment...hopefully Reiff doesn't miss much time, but if we can get Elf and Remmers back we have more than enough horses to crush the hapless Bengals...

watched a lot of the Rams last season (out here in LA) his receivers last year had more drops than I can ever remember seeing in a season...it's all good though...we got Keenum out of it

5 drops today.
5 drops the previous 12 games.
Keenum was maybe a bit more inaccurate than he's been all year.

And WTF was Diggs doing falling down when no one hit him on the 9 yarder?
If we are thinking of the same play I think the sun got to him and the ball got into his body and he went down to make sure he secured the catch.

Sometimes, for every team, things just don't go your way and you lose a game you should win.  This was one of those games.  We just centralized all the mistakes teams normally make into one game.  Keenum played ok but not great.  OLine was clearly a step below what it has been after the injuries against a top front 7 and they allowed a lot of pressure.  I think our playcalling was a little bit off today.  Both Diggs and Thielen had multiple critical drops.  Our D didn't do what it was supposed to do.  There was too many blown plays.

I assume that this will provide us a good reminder of how things can go and why you need to maintain the correct mindset going into the playoffs.

The loss could be more impacted by the injuries that came from the game than the actual loss itself.

I agree about the injuries ... but Philly just became beatable in Philly.

We should win the two home games and secure at least the 2nd seed.  Hopefully we are healthy after the playoff bye.
