Another WTF Decision Out Of The NFL Office
#1
Bengals S George Iloka's one-game suspension has been rescinded, and he will play Week 14 against the Bears.
Iloka laid a helmet-to-helmet hit on Antonio Brown in the end zone late in the Monday night loss to the Steelers, but he's not known as a dirty player and has been fined just over $35K instead. The Bengals need him against Chicago with DBs Dre Kirkpatrick, Adam Jones, and Shawn Williams all hurt.

Love the consistency...

Seems to be another example the league BS.  Preach about player safety and then let this slide.

Yeah that's a strange one. It looked like a kill shot.

I didn't think Dejo should have been suspended and I didn't think this one should have been either.  Two wrongs dont make a right... Rick should be pissed,  but only for the inconsistency, not any thing done here.

Yet, Andrew Sendejo had a lesser hit and was suspended a game.   Gronkowski took a clear dirty shot and gets one game.  The bottom-line?  If you are a big-market team or a star, you get favorable treatment.  A virtual no-name?  Throw the book at them to show how touch we are in the NFL.

I am SO in favor of having players sign waivers before they play to indicate that they understand the dangers of the game they ELECT to participate in, and they hold the NFL harmless and blameless for any injuries.   Dirty shots should be fined or even cause suspensions sometimes, but we are sterilizing the game to such a degree, we won't recognize it in 5 years...if it is still around.
