OT - Any one know about this "Dear David" story?

I don't believe, mainly because I've never personally experienced anything like this. Still a cool read.

It's loooooooong. Last updated Dec 12th 2017.

The lengths that some people will go for either: 1) attention or 2) some elaborate hoax or new type of 'art'. I don't believe in anything like this, its silly. If Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, 'real' alien UFOs (not secret government aircraft being tested) or ghosts existed, there would be tangible clear video proof. Carcasses or crashed aircraft. Everyone has an expensive amazing camera built into their phones now, its impossible to not get proof of it in a clear way. The answer is because none of it exists.

I get that some people will always believe in this kind of stuff. And would it be very cool and fun if stuff like that were real? Of course.

Yeah, there's money to be made somewhere in this.

Me and my wife don't believe in ghosts but we agree that we'd love to be proven wrong. I  really would like to experience something that would change my mind. Honestly. So far...nothing.

Some people just have a talent for stringing others along. It was mildly amusing at first. But at some point you have to deliver on the promise that something significant will happen as a reward to the reader. My limited patience just ran out.

Yeah.  I stopped reading.  Can someone give me a spoiler alert?

Sticky is right.  It's all bullshit.

I didn't read the link, but I could write a book on people's propensity to believe bullshit, especially conspiracy theories. It's worse now than it's ever been. Even the flat earth folks are gaining traction.

LOL flat earth theorists.  My daughter is a very smart girl going to a good university.   She asked me what I thought about he flat earth theory because she saw a video that looks credible its flat.

I told her it is round.  And therefore the video is bullshit.
