Animal House is overrated.
Stripes.
I will give you Stripes as well, but not over Caddyshack or Animal House.
OT: Caddyshack, Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein?

Caddyshack is very funny, as are the National Lampoon movies, but the genius of Mel Brooks and his ability to take on race relations, when "Blazing Saddles" was made, makes it a classic and is unique in comedy films. No way that movie is made today.Blazing Saddles
Young Frankenstein High Anxiety Spaceballs

Damn, I love all three...but:
1. Blazing Saddles. Very little makes me laugh harder than watching racists being shown as the asshats they are. "What's been happening in the clean world?" 2. Young Frankenstein. So classic, for so very many reasons. "What knockers!" "Oh, thank you doctor!" 3. Caddyshack. Only in last because one movie had to be. "I was born to rub you...but you were born to rub me first". |
