Start him after this layoff? Team 7/2, with two games in 10 days?

With someone who hasn't played as well as Case in their young career?

Lunacy or Genius. There will be no in-between.
PF, if Teddy plays like crap, don't you think Case would come in like the Chicago game?  I'd think so, and Case would probably be the starter on Thanksgiving too.

People are also forgetting that Case has never had a season like he's having this year.  Before that, Bradford had arguably his best game on the season opener.

Maybe, just maybe, this offense for the Vikes is just a very QB friendly offense, and Teddy will thrive in it too.
I beginning to think that as well...  I mean Bradford had a career year statistically last season despite a terrible offensive line.  Now the line is fixed and Keenum is playing the best football he's EVER played in his career...  it DOES make you wonder how Teddy would look with these weapons and offensive line.  It's certainly not a stretch to think that he could play much better (statistically) than he has in the past with a completely different offense and personnel.

I agree with this and mentioned it with @1500ESPNJudd. Teddy has never done what Case has done this year. Doesn’t mean he can’t, but…

Pinheads like this drive me insane. Talk about "losing sight"? How about losing sight of the fact that comparing the two offenses is like comparing apples to alligators.

we have a good OL, we have very good WRs, and we have a very good OC. Give Teddy a couple of games. Instead of asking what if? Lets try it, we can always go back.

I have absolutely no problem if they take a risk with Teddy, the upside is enormous. Case is playing at his upside which you can no doubt win games with. But I really don't think Case can take this team to a Super Bowl. Its not that he isn't capable of starting, its the fact that at some point the team is going to be down 10 pts late in the 3rd quarter and I personally don't think you can win that game on Case's arm. His accuracy is just too erratic. Teddy isn't going to come in and throw for 300+ a game, but I do think if he plays on par with his 2016 level the accuracy and ball placement alone will erase the lows.

All boils down to risk aversion, short-term vs long-term lens...I'm just trying to enjoy 7/2 for pete's sake. Vikings wont even let me do that lol!
