Going on record, Teddy starts next week

Consider this. You pull Keenum for Teddy this week. Ok that's pretty insulting to the guy that got you to 6-2 (one win was Bradford's but really the Chicago loss is sort of Bradford's as well) SO there's that.

Now if Teddy starts and he is NOT ready, then you are going back to the guy that you yanked on a short week? I don't think so. I think they will gameplan the offense for both defenses with some augmentation built in if needed. They won't be able to install a full game plan for Detroit anyway. Not sure how similar the two defenses are but I don't expect that they are going to be willing to test the waters with Teddy until after the the Detroit game.

If they go with Teddy and he isn't ready..... They may have tanked their own season in doing so.
uhm... we didnt lose to Chicago...  just pittsburgh and detoilet,  both of which are Cases.

It is a tough decision either way.  As Jimmy said, glad I don't have to make it.  Just my gut feel on Zimmer tho.

Oh god I am on less than no sleep. I don't know why I keep thinking we lost to chicago I said the same thing yesterday..... And I was AT THAT GAME.

I know that it has been my contention that had we given Case more time to prep for Pittsburgh that we could have won that game.

I think it comes down to this. If you change what has been working for something unknown.... and it doesn't work... The fans will crucify you for it. If you hold off and wait until an opportunity presents itself you look a lot less like you outsmarted yourself.

Flip side is not making a decision can bite you in the ass.  Bold decisions are just that, bold.  They take guts and leadership.  I think the second half of the Redskin game was the opportunity presenting itself.  I think it was possible Teddy was going to go in if we had a big lead.  But the win was in question so they stayed the course, but limited Case.

im not sure Case was going to beat Pittsburgh in their house no matter how much time he got.  Hell Im not sure we would have won that game with Sam.  PIttsburgh at home is a damn tough out... like KC in arrowhead.

We were in that game until the end. That game was never out of hand.

the score was ugly but it wasn't that bad of a game.

For example we were within 10 points until about 6:30 in the 4th remaining. We didn't get our offense doing anything until the almost the second half. And then we had to play catch up. Had XCase had a good solid full week of prep rather than a gametime decision I think we fare much better in that game and maybe win it. Pittsburgh was not playing well in that game.

iirc he got the prep work as Sam was held out of practice that week,  it just wasnt publicly known until pregame that Case was going to indeed start.  I dont think the score was indicative of how the team played.  I thought the O looked like shit all day from memory.

all i know, is i'm not prepared to see Teddy against a team like the Rams... being at home helps, but i dont know that after a 18 month layoff i want to see him in the most important game of the season to date. not sure how it's even debatable, you run with what got you here, but Minnesota loves a QB controversy.

And Zimmer has a man crush on Teddy, so i can still see it happening. this town loves the backup QB whomever it is.
