Going on record, Teddy starts next week
#11
I am admittedly beyond being shocked/surprised by anything the Vikings do/do not do, but if Bridgewater starts next week, I would begin to seriously consider rooting for a Vikings 7 game losing streak. That would be the only way such an ill conceived, stupid move resulted in the removal of ALL the assho.....excuse me, PEOPLE, involved in that decision.

I won't even explain why staying with Keenum (until signs of disaster strike) is the only sane, logical choice, as doing so might invoke replies from those who wish Bridgewater to start next Sunday.

Suffice it to say that I have a strong feeling that the outcome of that move would end up ranking alongside Walker, Ponder, Frazier, etc., as among the worst decisions by the Vikings....and THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING!

We score 38, and people are ready to string Keenum up for 2 bad passes? I like Teddy, but this is so out of hand it's simply absurd. If people can't see we're riding a pretty ridiculously good wave right now, they just don't know football or sports for that matter. You ride this horse til it drops.

agree on GB fan. and only gb can get a fumble call when a player hits the pylon with the football. always thought that was a td, same as breaking the plane of the goal line

Not dissing on case and his great plays.  But to me he went off on his own on the first int.  That was a horrible read and decision to throw.

Just going on my gut that Zim knows what he has in Case (a backup with limitations) and knows what he has in Teddy.

All the ridiculous insults aside, this is just my gut and opinion.  If you can't make your point without childish name calling...  Then that is about you.

So we forget about the 300 yards and 4 TD's and bench Case for 2 int's.
I would hope that Zimmer would be smarter than that.
No kidding!!  Dude lights up a better team then their record on the road and you guys want to bench him??  Drafting Teddy is one of my top 10 vikings moments because I truely thought/think he'll get us to the promiseland but holy $hit guys.

Case won this game. Hes playing as one of the better QBs right now. How do you pull a guy 6-2 and on a 5Ws in a row?

The answer is you dont pull him to go up against the 7-2 Rams, a game we need to win for seeding purpouses against the saints.

If we can somehow win vs the Rams and go into Detroit on Thanksgiving not only will we be division camps but we'll be set up for  a first round bye.

Im all for Keenum to keep rolling myself. The turnovers didnt exactly bother me as Keenem continually connected through out the game.

I think the defense should be getting a lot more eyebrows than those 2 turnovers. Thsts a seperate discussion...

The first INT put them back at their own 25 yard line. Ive seen worse punts. The 2ns INT... Keenum has to put more heat on it or stay maybe stay away from those man coverage sideline passes in the future. Not sure if it really was a bad read or if he tried more of a touch pass thinking it was an easy completion.

This team is competitive as hell. I think Spielman deserves some credit for signing a backup QB who everyone had some confidence in for once. Cassel had a road block, Hill was replaced by Bradford. I know its not really easy to keep trading for QBs, but kudos to the front office for seriously being prepared for once. We were more than prepared for Bradford's injury and Teddy's recovery. We didnt need to panic, and we've continued to grind.

.... long usual ramble. Happy to have kicked the shit outta a team on the road, off the bye. With Teddy, I'm excited to see his path to getting out there. I'll probably get goosebumps when he runs out there for the first time. I was wondering if the could do some kind of 2-5 snap rotation, where Keenum plays a large majority of the snaps yet Teddy gets a few reps in. Handoffs, passes... just a way to get him out there, get everyone comfortable, but keep moving forward without a potential overhaul to gameplanning/playcalling. ...Shurmur is calling some brilliant stuff with Keenum under center right now. We have some serious momentium; the playoffs are well in reach - Keenum is on a Pro Bowl path... crazy.

No way Teddy starts Sunday against the Rams....but I think we can definitely debate how long Keenum's leash is for this game. The Rams are good, no doubt, but this is a home game. Need the best effort and to get a W. And to Greed's train of thought, don't underestimate how much Zimmer hated those garbage INTs in the 2nd half.
