Going on record, Teddy starts next week
#1
I think this game was exactly the reason Teddy starts next week.  We had a big lead and Case went off script and launched an horrible floater into triple coverage.

Zimmer mentioned it it locker room.  And after 2nd int, keenum was barely allowed to pass.

I think the coaches said let's just get out with a win and move on.

I think next week with a script to get TB on a good start, they will have the game plan set for TB.

Dont know if you want to hear it or not, but I disagree...And wouldn't support Teddy starting this heavyweight bout about to go down @ USB.

I don't think he starts but if anything goes wrong, at home would be the best place to see where he is at.

Agree with Greed most of the time, but disagree here.

personally would LOVE to see Teddy start, the crowd reaction alone will crack a few panels.
however, I think Keenum has done a surprisingly good job thus far...4 TDs today is nothing to dismiss.  Over 300 yards...good feel for his receivers and where they are...yeah the INT was ugly, but he also had a Couple nice passes he floated...for completions.

The Rams D is legit...not sure I'd want to test Teddys knee against them. Would also assess O line health..Remmers?  DONT want to see TB running for his life first game back.

However, if Keenum falters early, have a feeling he will get hooked early.

hope they measure Db level....have a feeling KC may lose the crown as loudest stadium.

So we forget about the 300 yards and 4 TD's and bench Case for 2 int's.
I would hope that Zimmer would be smarter than that.

I think I agree with you for a few reasons.  Zimmer talked about how he has his "plan" with the QBs moving forward.  Bridgewater had his helmet on for most if not all offensive series, kind of like a dress rehearsal "getting ready" to go in and I'm sure he was listening to the play calls and mentally preparing; going through the motions of game day.  I think all that's left is live action and I'm now thinking that will be next week.

I hope they don't start Keenum on a "short leash".  It's not fair to Keenum.  Whoever starts should finish the game (outside of injury or garbage time).

I don't think he starts next week either...  just seems too soon.  I'm basing that purely on Zimmer's comments and body language in press conferences lately.

He keeps referencing that he has a plan for when Teddy will start and he and the coaches will continue to evaluate it day-to-day/week-to-week.

Pure speculation on my part, but I think he's always had the Detroit or Atlanta game in his head...

Case did play great, but he does float a few balls.  He had a fairly deep one along the sidelines that looked like it was tipped that feel right into AT's hands.  Then he later threw one just like it that got picked.

Not sure I completely trust Case still, but he had a good game and made plays that contributed to the win.  I still wouldn't be surprised to see Teddy out there next Sunday.

By my count he threw two floaters both caught by Thielein, and the floater that was picked.
holy Hell that one ball caught on the goal line was moving FAST...great grab, strong hands.

the other pick was just a great play by Swearinger to get in front of Rudy.

note: nice civil discussion so far.....stand by
