So what roster move do they make when the time comes to activate Bridgewater?
You can't move Sloter to the practice squad without risking losing him. Hard to believe they'd make that move given how highly they regarded him.
You have to keep Keenum. He probably will still be starting then.
Maybe move Bradford to IR? But that depends on how he is doing and he could very well be fine by then.
There's no way they keep 4 QBs

I agree on the after the bye part, however I don't think just the teams record should be considered at that point. I think the QB play itself as well as the level of play seen from Sam or Teddy in practice should be the determining factor.
No way they park Keenum on the bench if he's winning games.....other than if Sam gets a miracle knee recovery. I'd wager they ride Keenum until he implodes and then look at Teddy....this also gives TB a longer time to get up to speed. I just don't see Bradford returning this season.

I'm not so sure. I'd say it's more about how he's playing than if the team is winning. He had some pretty good throws and some pretty awful ones in Sunday's game.

I agree with MB. Case is playing well enough to win games against fairly crappy teams, but we all know we'll need to have exceptional QB play to be a playoff team.
The two games we lost Case looked to be what he is; a serviceable, game manager backup.

I believe this is incorrect. Zimmer said he wasn't being removed from PUP, but would practice. He remains on the PUP/inactive list for 3 weeks. Kind of a minor detail, but he is still technically on that list.

just speculation, but if Teddy is able to play and Bradford still isn't, I would think we temp IR Bradford and keep Sloter on the 53.
If teddy isn't ready, he goes to IR or stays on PUP and gets tolled. Bradford stays on the roster.
If Teddy and Bradford are healthy at that point, then the decision has to be made. I think Keenum is worth keeping as a backup so Sloter likely gets cut. I know he has potential, but so do Sam and Teddy, and they have actually shown it in NFL games.

I'm not sure it's likely that Sloter gets sniped if he goes on the PS. If I'm not mistaken, in order for a team to claim him, they must put him on their active roster. Not too terribly unlikely, given injuries, etc. But what might be unlikely is Sloter agreeing to go. I THINK PS players have a say in the matter. It's a good thing to go from PS to Active, but the Vikings are paying him a lot of money. Another team would have to match that. Not only that, does it make sense for a player to go learn his 3rd offense in 2 months? Especially when the Vikings future QB situation is cloudy at best?
I don't know. It's very possible I'm wrong about this, so if anyone knows, speak up.
Depending on what they're seeing in practice, I'd think it could be very possible that they keep Sloter as the future backup to either Teddy or Sam. One of Teddy or Sam will not be on the team next year, so there's room for Sloter.
I do think we need 3 QBs because no matter how you slice it, both Teddy and Sam have big injury histories and we'll need that third guy to back up the backup. This is our Vikings. We'll need 3 QBs, folks!

Sloter would have to be cut and to clear waivers before we could resign him to the PS. Any team could put a PS claim in on him IIRC.
After clearing waivers, a player is free to sign with whatever practice squad they choose. They don't get claimed/assigned to a practice squad.
At the beginning of the season, Sloter chose us over Denver's practice squad partially because we offered/paid him more to join. We paid Sloter $20,000 a week on the practice squad. The active roster minimum is $27,000; his raise was $7,000. ... $20,000 is "a lot of money" for a practice squad player. $27,000 is Goodwill for a active roster player...
If we cut Sloter, he goes to waivers. If a team claims him, he goes to their ACTIVE ROSTER. If no one claims him, he is free to sign with whoever's practice squad he wants... If we previously offered him $20,000 a week for the practice squad, has anything changed to where we would offer him less than what he was making prior to being called up? Probably not...
