Zimmer may need to take one (a fine) for the team. Maybe even two. Come out in the post-game presser and put it out there. "Yes, there are always missed calls, but when the missed call is a blow to the QB's head or an egregious P.I. in the end-zone, those are inexcusable and do not seem to happen to other playoff teams. There is an official who is looking right at that play. He did not miss it. He just chose not to make the call." Acknowledge that you are going to get fined but let it be known that you are not going to sit idly by while the officials hold your team to a different standard.
The first time we played the Lions, they used the Seattle strategy: just interfere on every pass play; the refs won't call them all. The Lions' DBs were hands on all day. X used to get called for that every game his first two seasons. If the rules apply to him, they apply to the Lions, too. When the coaches talk to the press the day before the game, he should raise the point and do it again with the officials before the game.
Zimmer being a good soldier and keeping his mouth shut is not enough.
