Basically, the Cowboys are pretty much out of contention, so they are allowed to suspend him now...

So here is what I'm trying to wrap my head around. If I get suspended from my job, it's a done deal. I'm sure that is pretty much the case here for everyone, or just about anyone for that matter. Why is any of this a court matter?

Ezekiel Elliott - RB - Cowboys
Profootballtalk reports Ezekiel Elliott isn't yet suspended. This conflicts with a statement from the NFL this week. The District Court doesn't plan to lift Elliott's injunction until the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals rules on his rehearing.
