The team isn't going anywhere with Keenum at QB. They'll win one, lose 2, rinse and repeat for the remainder of the season. He's limited.
IMO the only team that can beat the Minnesota Viking are the Minnesota Viking

The Bears are horrible, and a decent team would have blown them out. We kept them in the game with stupid penalties and mistakes like Sendejo tipping a pass up for a Bears TD. The Vikings hardly deserved to win.
Why the hell did the coaches have Bradford on the field?? He looked drugged. As a fan, I hoped he would play and perform like he did in week 1 - but I don't watch him in practice every day and hear his medical reports, like they do. Now his knee is probably aggravated. Did Zimmer just pull his macho, "You should toughen up and play through pain" act because he was so desperate to beat one of the worst teams in the league??
Find 5 more wins on the Vikings' schedule. Seriously - I'm not sure if there are 3. We can likely beat the Bears in the week 17 game for 3rd place NFCNorth, and should be favored against the Browns (though London games are unpredictable). Bengals at USB in week 15: Maybe, but Cincinatti has awakened from their bad start. Maybe the Rams cool down and we handle them. Beyond that? Not if we play like we have for the last 16 games and damn sure not if we play like last night.
You are always a ray of sunshine!
It wasn't pretty, it was frustrating, it was a win. A lot of teams have ugly wins. So what!
It was 1 of 3 wins in Chicago in 17 years. Even back in '09 the Vikings shit the bed.
I'll take the win, I still think this is a good team. I think if McKinnon and Murray can run the ball half way decent, and we get QB play like we did in the second half, no matter who is doing it. We win more than we lose.

Thanks, I try!
Yes I will take the win, too. But I think a lot of us see the Vikings are a "talented" team and say they are a "good" team. Sure, talent all over the field, but they make mistakes, they can't take advantage of opportunities. My frustration is that all this talent plays so inconsistently that we don't know how they will act in any given game. The last 16 games they have been so inconsistent that they have not won 2 straight, and half their wins were messes. It just looks like an immature ill-prepared team.
I can't disagree with the premise of the OP. But the Vikings rarely win at Soldier field so I'm happy for a win no matter how ugly.
It seems hard to see much more than a .500 team given the schedule, and the loss of Cook, and potentially Bradford.
But the team is still relevant and that holds my interest as a fan. It keeps me involved and hoping for some kind of positive surprises instead of the usual negatives.
Should they find a way to beat Green Bay next week, fans will have dreams of championships. If not, negativity will will likely prevail on the boards.

Over the past 3 years, Keenum is a .500 QB not a .333 QB. If Keenum can continue to play .500 ball and allow Bradford and Bridgewater to get healthy and get on the field, we would be in a position to challenge for the playoffs with a late season winning streak to get us to 10-6.

Hey, would love for you to be right. He'll certainly get his shot to prove it. I just don't see it happening. He's a backup QB and the history of the league with backups starting a lot of games is they get game planned for. Pretty easily. And fail the more games they play.
