AP throwing shadows at Payton last night?
#1
What was he fuming about? Didn't see it at the stadium cause frankly I wasn't watching him on the sideline. Plus I'm on the Vikings side of the stadium.

He was yapping at Sean Payton about touches...when Payton turned around to see who would sass a head coach..AD glared at him as if to say "don't you know I'm purple Jesus" at which point Payton turned back around and thought to himself "3m for this prick?"

For the life of me I can't figure out why they picked him up to begin with. He doesn't fit their offense at all.

jersey sales,  short yardage guy.... only 3 million per year for a decent ball carrier.   maybe a better question would be why did AD pick them... oh yeah,  revenge.  i think that failure last night was my favorite part of the game... well, except for the win.

They really didn't give him much of a chance, not defending him of course.  But I think he's a step up from Ingram in the running game anyway.  The thing is, the Saints require their RB's to be decent pass catchers and AD does not qualify.

they also require them to read a blitz and be able to pick it up,  something else that AD hasnt shown proficient at.

Agreed.  As I posted on another thread, he's wasted in NO.  Not since their old "Thunder and Lightning" days have they used a back like AP.  Adrian better get used to it...unless they get up on teams where they can run out the clock, their defense will dictate Brees throwing a lot in the 4th quarter.  The Pukers or GMen could have used him more effectively.

exactly.  Loved that his whole season was a failure last night.

And Payton put him in his place, AD walked away unsatisfied after Payton must have told him to shut up.

He found a bag in his closet with a Saints logo on it, remember?? Divine providence...

I'm pretty sure a big reason is that there were no other team bags in that closet when he decided to sign there.

According to Peterson's twitter account (tongue in cheek) here's what he said:

Lip reading looks like he's sayin' "Orange Peanut?"
