Not sure if we'll seize them, but since this seems to be the year the Vikings get an extremely rare opportunity to redeem a past mistake, could we correct the mistake we made by trading Harrison Phillips for a bag of Chewy Nerds?
He's not a free agent, but these are some pretty caustic comments he made about the Jets a couple weeks ago...
“I think Aaron Glenn inherited a very cancerous, truculent group — whole, top to bottom. It’s not individual people’s fault. I was there for one season — it was a very difficult season — and I almost wanted to waver on some of my thoughts and my beliefs and my optimism.”
“So, I can’t imagine being there for year after year after year after year and not seeing the results that you wanted, and it tainted people. Because my coach is going to get fired, my teammate’s going to get fired, I’m going to be a free agent, I might get fired, I have to play for me, I have to make sure my tape is hot regardless of what the system is asking me to do, what the scheme is telling me to do.”
“Then, young players come in and see, ‘Oh, that’s my vet, that’s how they’re acting, so that’s the way I’m going to act, too.’ It’s a long chain of things, and it can’t be fixed like that.”

That's a wild statement to make.

I just don't get signing KAM to a contract extension and then firing him while he's attending the Senior Bowl. The whole thing reeks. He's deservedly gone, that isn't my beef....but whatever. Its done. Let's get some shit done this offseason and Draft so we can compete in the NFCN, which I believe will happen.
Well at the time, we were giddy as hell about them opening the pocketbook and beefing up both the OL and DL in particular.
None of us anticipated the rash of injuries (or lack of production on the interior DL)
At the end of the day, this is what Brez does best.
Let him show us how its done when he's in control.

Redmond also earned a raise.
Wonder what happens to hargrave?
Redmond is clearly one IDL starter now.
Levi DR (with a nonstop motor that reminds me just a bit of old UDFA John Randle...you mighta heard of him)
Look at LDR's entire football history from grade school to his journey to college to the NFL. What's not to like about this guy and his motor:
Rodriguez initially received little attention as a prospect for the NFL draft, but began getting noticed after being named the most valuable player of the Tropical Bowl with 3.5 sacks, and having an impressive pro day performance.[2][4] Clint Dolezel said that, of Rodriguez's pro day performance: "He freaking dominated. Smaller guys in his position were fatigued and struggling towards the end. He finished and he says, 'That's it?'"[2] He weighed at 290 pounds (130 kg) in college but began adding weight with what The Athletic described as a "eat-as-much-as-humanly-possible diet", as he was considered small for a defensive tackle.[2][4] He had added 7 pounds (3.2 kg) by the time of the Tropical Bowl and was 306 pounds (139 kg) by the time of the draft.[4]
Prior to the 2024 NFL draft, Rodriguez was chronicled anonymously by The Athletic as their yearly "Prospect X" – identifying the "most overlooked player" in the draft.[2][10] He was ultimately selected in the seventh round (232nd overall) of the draft by the Minnesota Vikings.[1
