Kwesi Fired...
#91
The biggest lie is that KOC is a QB whisperer. The list of QBs that KOC failed to make work is huge. The list of QBs that KOC made better is just Darnold and maybe Jones (but who knows about that, because Darnold went through SF who seem to have a proven track record at that, and Jones never played a snap here).

I’m not shitting on KOC here. There’s like 15-20 guys who are reasonably good at playing QB at an NFL level, no one should be expecting him to take turds and polish them into diamonds every offseason.

Everyone is trying to cover their own ass to avoid the blame of a failed season. Now that Kwesi is gone it is easy to put blame on him. That puts the bullseye on KOC. If the Vikings don't make the playoffs nest season and a win then KOC is gone.

ATTN: Ryan Grigson is not "running the draft" guys. Listen to Mark Wilf's presser. Not sure I heard Grigson mentioned once.

Bryznski is running the show with help from the systems and coaches we have in place.

My opinion-- This draft and offseason is an audition for KO to have more say over personnel, in conjunction with Bryznski who the Wilfs probably trust, and see how it goes. Whether that's a good idea or not, I guess we'll find out. But otherwise, why delay hiring a GM?

The only other reason I can think to delay hiring a GM would be if this came completely out of nowhere and the Wilfs don't have the bandwidth to do a full-on search at the moment? I don't know. It's weird. Things are rarely 'normal' in Vikingland.

“[Brzezinski] understands our roster and has the ability to build consensus and rely on the expertise of our personnel and coaches.
I read that as KOC will have a much bigger role in player acquisition.

Schefter: “there’s a lot that is going to come out” referring to the “tensions.”

he can barely handle the role he has now,  i think he needs to give up play calling and offensive control and focus on being a HC and game manager,  but now this is added to his plate,  I am expecting a total shit show.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Which suggests he didn't already have a big role, which would surprise me if true.

Word on National Sports Radio is 85% of the decision made today by the owners traces to the QB decision of the past off-season
Outside of that, ownership was disappointed and lost patience with the lack of team post-season impact over last 4 years.
NFL is a cold biz and the Wilfs did a shitty thing firing KAM while he was down in Mobile. Could have let KAM hit the street b4 Mobile, or wait till he was back from the combine Sunday or Monday

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
