A Brees led offense scares me.  I think we'll contain their run game, but if NO falls behind, we'd better pin our ears back and get to Brees or it could get ugly.

After watching the preseason sleep walk, I don't think I'd be confident in this team even if they were set to play my high school football team. I guess I'm pretty down on this team right now. A big win with not many yards and no TDs for Mr. Peterson could restore some of my faith, but nothing less than that.
I couldn't have said better, so I won't.

Let's hope for the best - Go Vikes!

im confident.

i like our three Rbs outperform their three Rbs.

our pass rush should make Brees rush a few things. leads to a nice INT at somepoint that changes the game.

i like sam to take care of the ball. we control the clock we win

vikings 20-13

I see an empty bandwagon and it is understandable.  This team has lost the latest "faces" of the franchise in the last year with Teddy and AD.  A lot of fans and fellow posters won't be able to get over these losses until we start winning some games and identifying new "leaders/faces".

On offense, it usually has to be the QB but maybe a versatile RB like Cook can shine the light in a new direction away from the one back set that has dominated our backfield.  For all the love of AD (and he had some great years) we didn't win much with him and our only real threat was when we brought in Favre).  It has been about 3 years overdue to make this hard decision and move on but many people are not, or will not, ever be ready.

I think we win tonight with an improved Offense, not high-octane, and our steady defense that will make some plays.  I think Bradford has a nice outing with 2 TD passes and Murray finds the EZ on a short run.  Vikes win 24-21 in a somewhat sloppy game but the bandwagon starts to pick up some naysayers.

I think if the OL plays well and keeps Bradford clean and opens the running lanes for LM/DC we will be ok.  My concern is the officiating, we know that NO is another team that seems to get the calls.  Well except for when they play the Packers.

I have no idea what to expect from our offense.  It should be more than we've seen.  The preseason didn't give us any definitive proof, one way or another about what we are or what we'll be.  The starting offensive line hasn't played together hardly at all if at all.  In watching all of our preseason games again, it became apparent how vanilla our defense really was.  (And how many big plays J. Price was in and/or responsible for)  X only played the right side all preseason.  He has always taken on the opponents best WR, but he stuck strictly to one spot every snap.  After realizing all of that and more, I'm not really worried about our D.  I remain hopeful that we have a few surprises that haven't been seen

I think we get killed the preseason was brutal on both sides of the ball.  The only thing I am hoping for is the Saints suck worse.

I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place on this game... I want and hope the Vikings do well (obviously), but the pre-season was lackluster at best. I know pre-season, you can only glean so much useful information, but for one reason or another, it just didn't feel right with this squad.

With that said, I'll be glued to the TV at kickoff expecting a win, assuming the negativity is the jaded MN sports fan in me...

GO VIKES!!!
