Ordered a BluRay set of The Prisoner from Ebay.  Seller located in Kentucky.  Supposedly due to arrive tomorrow.  I'm not betting on it. According to USPS package tracking somebody's got a funny sense of direction.  Louisville to Chicago to St. Paul to.. Birmingham???  Cry

Know any postmen? I have a buddy who carries mail. With a tracking # he can get a lot more info on where a package actually is.

I know if you ship something FedEx, it goes to Memphis first. Even if you ship something from San Francisco to LA it would go to Memphis first. Not sure if that's still the case. Might be something like that. Prisoners is a great movie, btw.

Not the movie (although that was good too), the 1967 TV series with Patrick McGoohan. And why did it go from Louisville>Chicago>St.Paul first and then down to Birmingham?

I think that was only if it had to travel by air.  They had ground routes between depots in region,  but yes,  everything that needed to fly to get there on time went through Memphis.

I bought an Item in St. Louis to ship to Florida. It went to California so I called the seller and questioned why, he didn't know but I finally got the package.
I also sent a package to NY from Florida and it cost $75 to ship it and there was no tracking info until it reached Brooklyn. Worried me to death.

I know SD senator Rounds is getting up the USPS ass lately,   a letter from Rapid City SD to Pierre SD,  a 2.5 hour drive by car,  currently goes from Rapid, to Denver, to Iowa, up through MN to North Dakota then back down to Pierre..... this whole USPS reorganization seems like it was sprinkled heavily with political maneuvering when deciding what places stay open and what ones got shit down.
