Miami 24, Ohio State 14.....

South Florida is on FIRE for their Hurricanes. New Year's Eve AND a huge CFP win down here? Fans are still up, lol....and its 5:00 am eastern time. Just took my dog out to pee and I could hear fireworks far away somewhere, hilarious. Does my Go Blue blood good to see. Wolverines will be in the CFP in '26. Even being the #1 spender of NIL money in college football guarantees nothing, you still have to play the games, as Ohio State is learning.

How long until they figure out bye weeks work in the NFL, not in college?

Edit- bye week teams are 1-7 the last 2 years.

Michigan guy here but I try to be fairly objective. I live in Miami and I am not a Hurricanes fan but, of course, was pulling for Miami last night. Kept saying since before the game, OSU is not clutch - they never are. They have by far the best talent and it shows against most teams. But under pressure, they need to be so much better than their opponent to win the game. So much individual talent, so many great players, but as a team, they tend to fold when it gets tough against tough-guy teams. Miami is a tough-guy team.

Ohio State, going back to the days of Woody Hays (for me) has been so dominant for decades...and the football program, the university and the fans have gotten arrogant.

This was a wonderful result.

Knocking them down a couple pegs (including getting beat in their last game by Indiana) is good medicine.

Spent the night in St. Petersburg and there were fireworks off and on all night and into the next morning. Had more to do with new years than the game where I was at. But there were a few fired up fans.
