Will JJM be back against the Packers?
#1
KOC has not ruled it out.
It's a long break given the Thursday night game...and it depends on his ability to grip the football.
No promises.

Personally, if he can, I would like to see more of him to continue the evaluation process.

I sure hope so too...

Brosmer isnt ready to play and may never be. Selfishly, I'd like to beat the Pack to end this most frustrating of seasons. But it is his throwing hand, so I would put it at 50/50 on a good day.

Imagine if this team had just an avg offense to go with that D?

Injuries aside, they screwed the pooch with poor decisions at back-up QB. Hindsight is crystal clear in this case.

Although the Vikings claimed veteran quarterback Brett Rypien to ensure they had three available passers Thursday alongside Brosmer and John Wolford, Minnesota has not ruled out getting McCarthy back for its Week 18 home game against the Green Bay Packers.

"He's doing well," O'Connell said. "With the extra time until next week, we'll see. It's all going to come down to just grip strength and his ability to grip the football and throw it. And I would obviously love to have him get one more opportunity for this year.

"I look forward to seeing how J.J. progresses here early in the week, and we'll see if we can have him."

Even in hindsight, I don't think anyone was expecting Wentz to get hurt and have to play through a jacked shoulder. It's very hard to grade his play with his limited time in the system and even more limited time before getting crunched.

Two of our QBs got mauled this season, one on a few occasions. That's not typical, though we've pulled it off twice in three seasons.

I don't see much, if any chance of beating the Packers with Brosmer. Hope JJ can play.

I think JJ escapes a couple of those sacks last night,  but I also question how getting pummeled the rest of the time would affect his growth.  Our OL played like shit last night and I dont think JJ would have looked much better as he hasn't really shown yet that he can beat a blitz either.   If he get ls confident in that arm making NFL OPEN throws,  he will be fine,  but until then he will be holding the ball and looking for somebody that he is comfortable with.  I hope he is ready,  but I also hope KOC has a better protection plan in place.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
