So um, do we still need to fire everyone?

Of all the crazy armchair takes I've read this season--
McCarthy is a bust! (after 6 games) KO can't coach! (reigning coty) KAM is getting CANned (just inked 5 year deal) The most absurd one I think was, "The league has figured out Flores!". That guy is a phenomenal defensive coordinator and the Vikings are fortunate to have him around. That hasn't changed since the day he got here. Everyone wants to look at Bradbury or Ed Ingram to see how they're doing on other teams-- how about Byron Murphy or AVG or Rodgers or Eric Wilson or ? What BFlo has got this defense doing, without much star power, is pretty tremendous.

His defense is so good. 5 sacks against the Seahawks while our offense did nothing? It was frustrating to see our D give up some big plays yesterday, but one has to remember that Dallas was the top offense in the NFL.

I would place great prioritization on keeping him here and happy if he doesn't get a HC job elsewhere. Now...Grigson/Kam/Special teams coach/OL coach/QB coach? They are all fair game imo...

The typical crickets from them are always hilarious, lol. come on, what haters? I dont really recall anybody saying negative shit and not wanting him to succeed. I know not everyone is at your level of worship, but that doesnt make them haters. even you have said that he has a fair bit of growing to do as a pro QB. If I missed somebody I apologize, but I dont really recall anybody hating on JJM.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

I do not see how the last two games changes the narrative regarding our management. We still only have a few starters from 4 drafts, every FA we signed during the off season has not shown to be a great signing. We are still very devoid of talent and do not have great depth. I do not see how we can afford to go another draft and free agency period with the same personnel team.
I was glad to see the OL step up without Darrisaw and O'Neill for part of the game. I do wonder about both of them long-term healthwise though. JJM played a smart game for the most part. The more reps and experience he gets the better. I know there was discussion about mechanics and overthinking, but finding the right mix of playcalling, going through his progressions and settling in will help him. When JJM and JJ get on the same page that will be even better. His confidence will rise as he continues to get comfortable. Something classy I saw before the game was JJM high fiving all the first responders. Yes I know it was not performance related but it is character related and that is important. The defense was able to make some great plays as well. And of course Will the Thrill was phenomenal. The scouting department is still an issue. I know they didn't make changes initially because KAM and KOC got here really close to the draft but I wonder what happens now. Hopefully Kelly and Fries can continue to stay in the lineup. Also the Cowboys have like a 1% chance of making the playoffs so there is that.

We all know I've been his hype man pre-starting, I'm sure ad nauseam to some. God forbid that a fan might want a successful QB. But this is you in a nutshell: What? On this board? Where? (eye roll). The Crusty Midwest Curmudgeon Society of course has been quiet this week. Stay tuned! Check your email for the next meeting. |
