I think the Lions missed their window

7-5 and two home losses to NFCN teams. I had a feeling this offseason they may take a step back, its tough to keep up the grind year after year and honestly they blew 2 great chances to get to the Superbowl the prior two seasons. Still can be a dangerous team in a one-game scenario, but really should have lost to the Giants last week as well. No more balls to the walls offense for Meathead. Teams are understanding how to neutralize Gibbs. The constant 4th down-going-for-it is less effective.

The NFCN seems there for the taking this year....except for Minnesota. A pity.

We need a big reboot from aging veterans to young homegrown players to reopen the window.

Too many Man Campbell decisions over the years in situations where points on the scoreboard would have helped a lot more than style points.  Losing Ben Johnson is a definite problem too.

But he's often expressed that he's "gotta be himself" in those situations.  I guess a fan is supposed to hang their hat on, "We lost, but coach was true to himself!" It just warms one's heart, doesn't it?

I was rooting for the Kitties yesterday...I think they were down some key people on D and of course St Brown too.

But no excuses, the magic of their past two seasons isnt quite there in 25.

On Gibbs-- Ehhh, he's still smashing most teams. The Lions are down LaPorta and now Amon-Ra. That's gonna hurt an offense.

On everything else, I agree. I'm not sure why Dan Campbell is always so shocked that his wild trick plays and yolo fourth down calls don't work against GB and PHI like they do against WAS and NYG.
