In other injury news, O’Connell said there was not yet an update on safety Josh Metellus, who finished Sunday’s game but made two trips to the sideline medical tent. O’Connell said outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard, who missed his second straight game with a left shoulder injury, will work through the week again and they’ll “see how he does.”

The bolded gives me great comfort.

You know what??? I F'ing agree!

Screw all of the talking heads at ESPN and FS1 and literally EVERYONE else about where my Vikings are headed. I say Next Man Up!!!!

Who knows, Max may be the next Tom Brady to step in and never release control after that!

Huh

OK.... in reality it probably will never happen as we all know, we will never have nice things as Vikings fans, but we sure can hope!!!

I love the statement and agree 100%!!!

SKOL!

Honestly, what other choice do we have? So yeah, fuck it. Tall, tall order for a guy like Brosmer to face a D like Seattle on the road in a very loud stadium with possibly some starting Viking's offensive linemen on the bench. Its a recipe for disaster. But what's to lose at 4-7 and just a trainwreck of a season ahead? I mean, we all knew there'd be bumps this season for the most part, but no one thought the QB play would be this abysmal.

When you watch KOC's pressers now you can see the disgust and frustration in his face with the way the season's gone.

Think the way JJM has been playing Max deserves a chance to show what he has.
The quarterback whisperer can get both QB’s some experience .

I remembered seeing a play where McCarthy took a hit to the helmet. I was wondering at the time if it might not be a concussion. So bring in Brosmer. I'm not expecting great things, but I am expecting a kind of return to baseline at QB.

I would have preferred to bring along any young QB in cleanup or spot relief duty first,   let them prove to themselves in short bites that they have the physical tools amd can play at this level.  I dont think any of them are best served by having a week or time for all the pressure and distractions to mount.  The jobs hard enough without all the extra crap,  this is one reason I cringed when JJM decided to share his 9 shit.  If he wants to have an alter ego to build himself up in his mind...cool,  but putting it out there only draws more unneeded attention to himself and the struggles to meet his persona.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Plus, the experience gained from playing some meaningful downs.

You can get away with being eccentric if you're successful.  If you're an abject failure it just adds to the general impression of how awful you are.
