Packer Week....
#1
Wed. 11/19

The Vikings only held a walk-through Wednesday, so their practice participation was an estimation.

Outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard (left shoulder) was listed as out, but head coach Kevin O’Connell said in a news conference that Greenard would work out on the rehab field.

Additionally, guard Will Fries was listed as out of practice with a knee injury.

Center Ryan Kelly (concussion), who had his 21-day practice window for return from injured reserve opened last week, was marked a full participant.

Kelly last appeared in a game in Week 4 against the Steelers in Dublin, which he exited early with his second concussion of the season and fifth of his career.

Kelly was a limited participant all three days of practice last week but ruled out against the Bears on Friday. O’Connell said the team wanted to allow Kelly time to ramp up to a full week of practice but that he’s in a “great spot” now.

The Vikings also listed Christian Darrisaw (knee) and Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder) as full participants.

Jacobs ‘day-to-day’ for Packers
Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs left Sunday’s game against the Giants with a knee injury and did not practice Wednesday. But coach Matt LaFleur called Jacobs “day-to-day.”Also not practicing were cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee), LB Quay Walker (neck) and WR Savion Williams (foot).

Safety Javon Bullard (ankle), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (foot), receiver Romeo Doubs (wrist), receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder/wrist), cornerback Keisean Nixon (illness), defensive lineman Micah Parsons (pectoral), offensive lineman Zach Tom (back), linebacker Lukas Van Ness (foot), receiver Christian Watson (knee) and receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf) were limited.

Packer week usually has a lot more excitement to it, I actually had forgotten, the last two weeks of terrible football have taken a lot of the air out of the season.

Our O-line is gelling. We can run on the packers and hopefully keep JJ clean in the passing game. Their D is solid, but can be targeted over the middle.

Without Jacobs, we should not have an issue stopping the run and hopefully force Love into some bad passes for INTs.

I am hopeful, as always.

Except JJM can't pass over the middle, and our defense can't get INTs Tongue

Mostly joking, I think we're going to play well in this one and GB has turned in plenty of duds themselves this season. I really hope we do enough to win.

I'm just hoping to see McCarthy settle down some, make some good throws and look to be getting over the hump. At GB is not an easy place to do it, but thats kinda where the bar is now - at least for me.

Vikings outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard (left shoulder) was limited at practice Thursday.

He was seen during the viewing period in pads and his helmet stretching with the team and then working off to the side, though in the capacity some veteran players do to continue warming up while special teams work occurs, not on the rehab field.

Greenard said after practice he’s feeling “good” and that he’s “super confident” he’ll be able to play Sunday against the Packers.

Right guard Will Fries (knee) returned to the field after being marked a non-participant Wednesday. He was limited.

Center Ryan Kelly (concussion) was listed as a full participant for the second straight day. Running back Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder) also fully participated.

Left tackle Christian Darrisaw (knee) took his typical Thursday rest day. He was the only non-participant at practice.
Packers

Running back Josh Jacobs (knee) was upgraded from being a non-participant at Wednesday’s practice to a limited one Thursday, as was wide receiver Savion Williams (foot).

Cornerback Bo Melton was added to the practice report with a shoulder injury that limited him.

Cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee), LB Quay Walker (neck) and defensive lineman Karl Brooks (ankle) remained out.

Still limited were safety Javon Bullard (ankle), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (foot), receiver Romeo Doubs (wrist), receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder/wrist), cornerback Keisean Nixon (illness), defensive lineman Micah Parsons (pectoral), offensive lineman Zach Tom (back), linebacker Lukas Van Ness (foot), receiver Christian Watson (knee) and receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf).
