Got my bell rung so hard once in high school I played an entire series without knowing what the plays meant. I knew the score and the quarter because I could read a scoreboard, so I was sent back in. But that whole series, I was clueless. Plays and alignments I'd run a thousand times suddenly meant nothing to me. Nothing registered.

But that was a different time. 3-a-days in 100-degree heat and we weren't even allowed to have water, only ice.

Yes, I knew I was at football practice but that was about it. It's very strange when you lose your memory.

Did the same thing.  Playing JV MLB head to head shot with their fullback I was shooting the gap just as he hit the LOS and we crashed head to head.   Their second offensive series of the game.   I played the whole game and evidently very well, don't remember ANY of it.  Don't remember the bus ride home, nor do I remember showering, changing, AND driving home from the school that night.   Kind of scary when you think about it.

With Jaxson Dart set to miss Sunday's game due to a concussion, Jameis Winston's moment in the spotlight for the New York Giants has arrived.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Winston is expected to start Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers after interim head coach Mike Kafka moved him ahead of Russell Wilson on the depth chart.

This will mark the first time all season that Winston is active for a game. He has been the emergency third-string quarterback for New York's first 10 games, behind Dart and Wilson.

Dart left Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears prior to the start of the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion and didn't return to the game.

The injury appeared to occur earlier in the third quarter when Dart took a hit from C.J. Gardner-Johnson that caused him to fumble the ball. He did play the first two snaps on New York's next possession before being replaced by Wilson.

ESPN's Jordan Raanan noted after the game that Dart has been evaluated for a concussion four different times this season. This week will mark the first time that he sits out a game due to the injury.

Wilson replaced Dart and played the entire fourth quarter against the Bears. He finished 3-of-7 for 45 yards, as the Giants were outscored 14-3 in the final period of a 24-20 loss.

The Giants signed both Wilson and Winston to contracts in the offseason. Wilson started this season as the team's starting quarterback, going 1-2 in three games before being replaced by Dart in Week 4.

Winston will be making his first start since Week 15 last season with the Cleveland Browns. He threw for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 12 appearances with Cleveland.

The Giants will hope that Winston can provide a spark to their offense and help them end their four-game losing streak. Their 2-8 record is tied with the New Orleans Saints for the worst in the NFC.

New York will host Green Bay at MetLife Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
