A couple calls from KOC, but overall a decent plan until we got down 2 scores. This is the JJM game we all kind of expected but loathed to see.  Now we just have to see if he develops or NOT.

As far as the alter ego stuff, it’s fun when you’re playing good and sucks when the opposite.  I wouldn’t blame him too much as we all are all closer to the cane rattling and cloud yelling stage than we are to his generation

Lol, so true...

I was going to rant about that 9 crap and tell people to shut-up and just grind but didnt because of cloud yelling.

It's his gameday persona.  So off the field he's mild mannered clark kent.  On the field, he tries to embody a more intense alter ego.

The unusual— from my couch it seemed like Justin Jefferson had a terrible game. Offense definitely not in sync with McCarthy yet, as evidenced by the false starts and missed connections.

Nailor played great.
Yes, he seemed uninterested.

The penalties killed us.  Not sure where that blame lies.

It was fugly.
I turned it off midway through the 4th quarter and went outside and got projects done. It was a more productive use of my time.

Exactly. Every time I see that "nine" face, I kinda a cringe a little. Sure, it plays well when we win. But there are enough JJ haters out there who will use it to embarrass him when he doesn't play well.

I see that some are 'annoyed' with JJ's intensity....its like being mad at the sun because its bright. Its who he is genuinely. Does anyone think he'd resonate with seasoned NFL vets the way he has if this was an act? And the crustiest of the crusty, Harrison Smith, loves JJ to death. Fans are so jaded about things, lol. Its ok to eye roll whatever you'd like, but to say its anything other than JJ being 100% authentic to himself is a lie. Its a big lol to me that fans worry that other fans make fun of '9' on the Interwebs....like JJ gives a shit about that....he's been fading the haters for years all the way to a national championship and the 10th overall pick in the Draft. And all he said was he goes into another mode with '9'....you'd think the way its portrayed by some on Twitter that he's Cybil and has another personality, lol.

Hate him, love him, think he's a bust, think he needs time, etc. but he's always going to be the same guy. Some may not like his personality, but its not an act. Its just better to say I don't like a dialed in, intensely focused, football 'sicko' as O'Neill described him than to say he's inauthentic.

seemed odd that we never heard a word about an alter ego until he notches a signature win,  and it didnt appear that 9 made an appearance during the loss on Sunday.  Maybe this is legit,  maybe its made up,  I dont know,  I just know I want to see the kid succeed and the more attention he draws to himself while he is learning the game,  the more scrutiny he will be under and the brighter the lights will seem.  I would prefer he keeps his head down and just proves that taking him at 10 was a smart move.  Play  with a chip on his shoulder for those that didnt think he was good enough to be taken sooner.  He gets that chance again this Sunday,  I hope he packs away whoever it was we saw playing like ass this last week and brings back whoever it was that we saw against the Lions.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

If I could give him advise I would tell him to just be yourself.

I'm just reminding myself the kid is 22, he's played 4 f'ing games, he's got a longer learning curve vs others in his class coming from Michigan and its a really hard job that KOC makes harder imo.

I hope he can show progress for us and himself as the season progresses.

I'm not even thinking about playoffs or team records anymore.
