You nailed it.  That was a very winnable game. Really the bottom line is that was a good team on the other side and JJ struggled today.  The turnovers and penalties were maddening and I don’t know what’s going on with Jets but I hated his game today.

I think its been a very trying year for him, he's frustrated and its showing now on the field.

He's gotta reign that in better imo.

I posted similarly about Jefferson in another thread before I saw this one.

Easily my favorite Viking and I was wearing his jersey today watching the game… Jets was bad today to the point where I’m kind of worried what his PFF grade will be. He took a shot early on and stayed down for an extra tick. I hope we don’t get a sad surprise on Wednesdays practice report because it was just so uncharacteristic of him today. Injury or off the field stuff is my best explanation and I hope it was neither. I suppose even the legends get a few duds over a career!

Somebody tell me about nine again...JJM trying to market himself could be an issue.  Hard working blue collar guys like Jets dont buy that shit and the media hype that fawns over it.

JJM needs to find some humility and just shut up and play a smart game,  his looking for a home run on every extended play is what lost the game today.

He had the familiar look today of a WR who doesn't have any confidence in his QB. No excuse, but after pass after pass that flies 5 feet over your head with no one around you, it has to get really frustrating. He practices all day with him and maybe sees the same thing at practice and feels they are not going anywhere.

There was also an element of the play caller switching from the run, when it was working, to the pass for no apparent reason. I feel that was magnified by bad passing. If the defense can't stop you, why stop yourself?

He looks like a guy who'll be asking out after the season is over. You can't put that slack performance on tape and say everything's fine. Too many plays yesterday where he was open but JJM's pass sailed out of reach.
