And included is the collapse of the defense. It seems like this is turning into a house of cards, a smoke and mirrors team that is being exposed. I hate its turning out this way for all of us long timers on this board. I know I'm tired and so are many others....

All I kept hearing from fans and media was: this is a sports car, just need a QB to keep it on the road. Not the case by any stretch. Some fans want to lay into JJM, but he's 1-1. If the 'any QB will do' brigade was right, Wentz would be more successful and so would the team. The problem mostly is all parts of the team BUT the QB. I mean, how many times has JJ and Carson been hit or sacked in 8 weeks?? Looks like the Viking car is a Chrysler K-car with 100,000 miles on it.

But, but...the media keeps telling all of us that OConnell is this great offensive guru so how can this be? The reality is his playcalling has been predictable, it's takes too long to get the plays into the quarterback, it's an undisciplined unit that can't stop committing penalties, and they've looked generally sloppy on offense all year long no matter who the quarterback has been. It's year 4 and I'm still not sold on KOC. With that said, if he had a competant GM providing him with talent maybe things would be different?

Which is bound to happen when the offense generates only 4 first downs in the first half.
