Jonathan Greenard thinks JJ McCarthy will return to action this week, he said to @tr5nton via YouTube:
“I think JJ, he will probably be back this week. I think he will.”
Take with a grain, I'm not always a fan of what the players say lol. Sometimes they can say some interesting things. But he put this out there yesterday, FYI.

Certainly possible, especially given that Wentz is also hurt, but I'd be surprised. KOC was pretty adamant that JJ won't start until he gets a full week of practice in. I know he's practicing, but I haven't yet heard he's getting 100% of the first-team reps, which I think would be required for him to see the field.

I wish players wouldn't speculate about it publicly...Enough of us fans doing it.

Fans assume the players have insight 100% of the time, but sometimes they just give their opinions which can be wrong. My gut is starting to think however that JJ is going to start....my gut and $6.00 will get you a Starbucks coffee.

I hope he's right. I'm still "in" on JJM, but these next few games are gonna be huge for the perception around him. A full season lost to injury, followed by another that happened 6 quarters into his actual playing time...and the resulting loss of yet more games...when 7 of 8 quarters were admittedly ugly...
...that's a LOT for us fans to wave off. We can/will, but we need some consistent goodness, ASAFP, to blur the momories of injury and mediocrity.
Let the in-laws burp the baby, kid, he'll understand in the future....
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

Strictly looking at the betting market I'd say this game is priced like Wentz is starting. If a boatload of Eagles money lands in the next day or three then yeah, JJM might be in.

Agree, but if you don't break his play down by quarters, and instead break it down by when he had protection and when he didn't, he starts to look much better. We've seen it over and over with young QBs: Poor protection can result in bad habits. We can't let that happen.

Greenard would see him at practice, so while he may not know for certain, the one promising aspect is he must see JJ out there, working with the 1s and looking healthy to make that statement.
