Jay Z and his company took over responsibility for the NFL Halftime show in 2019. Since then:

2026: Bad Bunny
2025: Kendrick Lamar with special guest SZA
2024: Usher with special guests Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., will.i.am, Lil Jon, Ludacris
2023: Rihanna
2022: Eminem, Dr. Dre. Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige
2021: The Weeknd
2020: Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Emme Muniz

Doesn't quite seem indicative of all musical genres... Seems more indicative of Jay Z's preferences.

Second time performing in last 5 years for Bad Bunny and twice for Kendrick Lamar in same time frame.

The amount of people that give a shit about who plays the halftime show could fill a double-decker bus....maybe.

Well, these are definitely some of the biggest names in music right now. What's more, when you listen to music played during training camp and practices, at tailgates, accompanying highlight videos, and played in stadiums during timeouts at NFL games, not to mention a vast majority of the walk up songs in the MLB, oddly enough it's not Pink Floyd. It's the artists listed above.

It may not be your music; it's not mine either. At US Bank 8 days ago I had to repeatedly turn to my son and ask "who is this" when a song I never heard before was literally being sung word for word by thousands. It might be time to wake up and realize you're old.

...oh yay, more lip-sync'd, autotuned, choreographed crap direct from the same "entertainment group" that seems to ignore all other genres.

Seems like a good time to sneak in a favorite episode of Letterkenny or Shoresy.
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

Not my jam.
But honestly, Bad Bunny was funny as hell in Happy Gilmore 2.
Had it not been for that, I wouldn't have a clue who he was.

I was hoping for taylor swift, not because I would have tuned in.... but just to see the heads explode over it.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
