Damn, Detroit.....

....looking good, bro. Not sure what happened in Week 1 against Green Bay, but your mojo is back. 224 yards rushing. Jared Goff is criminally underrated. 7 sacks and allowed NONE. In Baltimore. Going for it on 4th down. Scored on 98 and 96 yard drives. And on D, their sacks came all from their own draft picks: 1st round through 6th round. Hate them for sure, but impossible not to be impressed by what they've put together there. A well oiled machine. Hard not to be a little envious.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to remember Minnesota beating a Superbowl contending team on the road like this in such an impressive manner. What is it, 7 QBs have started in 3 years for the Vikings?

We talk about culture change, and most all mocked Campbell when they hired him, but his players bought in and they truly have changed the culture and attitude of that franchise. It's become a team that Sanders would be proud to play with.

Sadly for us, but good for them.

OG Tate Ratledge is playing really well the last game or two, also....aren't missing a beat really. He's settling in.

Lions are for REAL, and you are right Sticky; Goff is criminally under-rated. He makes it look easy most of the time....You know, I secretly like that team if my team is out of it.

Philly or Lions in the SB???

Would be a hell of a CG

They physically dominated the Ravens; something that doesn't happen often, although I think the Ravens defense isn't as good this year.
Detroit's offensive line was bad against the Packers in game one but now appear to be every bit as good as last year. Eagles and Lions O-lines are better than the Vikings have had for quite awhile. Hopefully the Vikings O-line will also get there if they can ever get healthy enough to play together.
Pressuring Goff is going to be difficult. Hopefully Flores can find a way.
Another thing I noticed was the Lions on defense played a lot of players in the box and focused on stopping the run.

The Lions are for real, but like every NFL team, each week is its own story.

Any/every top team becomes a subject of huge focus, and opposing coaches work to unlock their habits, their weaknesses.

Vikings fans want our team to be the best, and that means beating the best of the rest.

I hope, and I'm pretty certain, that some after-hours time always gets spent on the divisional rivals even when their games are weeks away. Flores typically has decent games against Love and Williams, but he's still picking the Goff lock. We'll see....
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

I like the potential of our OL now...

For the LONGEST TIME I have wondered about our coaching for that unit...Still do to some degree. But I questioned scouting the most.

OL is the straw that stirs the drinks in Motown and Philly.

I think that is the same for any successful team, the game is has and always will be won in the trenches.  having good skill players is a bonus,  but the best teams rarely struggle with the LOS.

Either Derrick Henry is not what he used to be (although that first quarter TD run was a thing of beauty), or the Lions have stepped up their game again.
They've put together two consecutive dominant games.
The NFL is a funny league.
Week 1, Packers dominated the Lions. We squeaked by the Bears.
Week 2, We sucked against Atlanta, Lions dominated the Bears
Week 3, Atlanta sucked against Carolina, Browns defense stopped the Packers, We blew out the Bengals, Lions showed up strong against Ravens.
