Vikings have scored 12 total points in 7 of their 8 quarters. So of course they're going to be in the wayback in efficiency stats. What I disagree with is when people say this is who the Vikings are. It's not. It's who the Vikings were in early September.

This 'Purple Persuasion' aggregator is usually pushing a negative angle...I think he wanted Minnesota to keep Uncle Sammy so he jumps on and pushes narratives when he can that are negative.

Yes sir. And so does over-the-top sugary hyperbole. Both extremes pulls the boys in from the yard....much like a Sydney Sweeney milkshake.

Wentz played efficient football today and I couldn't be happier for him after everything he has been through, I bet this one today was a special feeling.

My only concern was it seemed that we still had a lot of slow developing routes that led to Wentz eating the ball and taking a sack. That's got to get cleaned up because it's asking a lot on the offensive line. Excited to get Addison back in the mix this week

I think some of the slow-ness was the relative newness of Wentz to the team/system. He still has to stop and process things more than players who had an offseason to get acclimated.

That said, I think he was generally good and showed that the physical abilities are all still there. He hit a couple tight window throws that had me worried, then impressed.

I feel a ton better about the UK games after today, especially knowing that KOC and crew will be getting him more comfortable each day while he's still under center.
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

I would normally agree with you, but we saw the same thing with McCarthy and at the tail end of last season with Darnold. I think "the gamble" philosophy is just part of KOC's offense where he'll gamble on the big play at the expense of his quarterback eating it a few times a game. It's why we've seen things completely implode when the line play is even suspect. For this reason and for what we saw today, is there even an argument that Darrisaw is the most important piece to our offense?

Wentz was a steadying influence and for only being in Minnesota less than a month, he did pretty well. Offense still had some just brutal drives. The game was such a relaxing and fun win, but still some things to work through but I'll tell you this: so does most of the other NFL teams. Gaining some Ws while figuring out your team/getting consistency in September is important. Good for Brosmer to see some live action, too bad Thielen couldn't hold onto that pass. Hopefully Ryan Kelly returns and it'll be good to see Addison back. Will the Thrill nailed that 62 yarder, would have been good from 70.

Meanwhile, in Houston:
"Houston, we have a problem and that problem is the Texans offense. CJ Stroud's sophomore slump is now bleeding into his third year, but it's hard to totally blame him because he's not getting great protection from his offensive line and he doesn't have a rushing attack that can take pressure off of him. The Texans' offensive woes were especially bad during a fourth quarter where Houston turned the ball over three times with two of those coming on Stroud interceptions. This team is now averaging just 12.7 points per game through three weeks and if the offense doesn't fix things soon, the Texans' two-year reign at the top of the AFC South might soon be coming to an end."

The offense functioned much better with Darrisaw at LT than Skule.  Carson still took some sacks, but he played smart, efficient football.  Didn't have any turnovers or try to force throws when he had a guy bearing down on him.

Hopefully it was eye opening for KOC to see how much better the offense functioned with a more balanced attack featuring Jordan Mason.  Phenomenal day for him and he set the tone from the get go.

Hopefully Darrisaw keeps getting stronger and we get Kelly back so JJ McCarthy can be playing behind our best OL group and also have Addison back in a few weeks.  The first two weeks was NOT the team we were hoping to have the majority of the season and it certainly didn't help our young QB.

Pressure doesn't help any QB, especially young ones. I think it can be admitted that JJM didn't play well always, but he sure didn't have much help either. He's learning. I'd like to see Kelly back next Sunday and let Carson eat with a another week under his belt of practice, a full healthy O-line and Addison back.
