He's also going to travel with the team overseas, which I think is a smart move. Keep him saturated into the team so he's ready to pop in Week 7. He'll be 100% by that time for sure.
If the O-line is all back together at that time, then he can be evaluated for the next 10 weeks without a sieve at LT. I like this plan. The team should be solidified around him by then. They need an identity, and I think JJ is that identity but all the new moving parts need to mesh more. And less injuries.

While he may be expected back, I think it is premature to annoint him for the rest of the season.
First, we have to see how Wentz performs the next three games. If he is not good or even middling, then we see JJM.
But if he lights it up, JJM might be warming the bench (I mean "recovering from that high ankle sprain") for a bit longer.
It's just too early to tell.

I mean he looks like the same dogshit qb today that's he looked like for years. I don't know why people are so excited about a guy on his 6th team in 6 years. Go watch the lowlight reels of him doing dumb stuff. Or just look at this game. I would not be surprised if the Bengals come back while Wentz screws around and can't get anything done the rest of the afternoon.

I hate that being JJ's first game back if he's out the next couple weeks.

Yah, I had the same feeling.
But there is a bye in there too...I mean, they gotta play him at some point!

Yep, regardless of opponent, I think that's the perfect timeframe. Ankles sprains take a bit to fully feel good. Hopefully the team is relatively healthy when he returns.

Not ideal. But if JJ gets the kind of protection, running game and defense that Wentz got yesterday, he should be fine. The real question is, will he even get the opportunity if Wentz continues to play well? Haven't really heard that talk much yet, but it's coming...

Wentz will have to be playing really well for them to stay with him....I mean a truly 'hot' hand. Certainly better than yesterday. Not sure what QB wouldn't benefit from 5 turnovers and The Saw coming back. KOC has already mentioned the timeframe, so Carson has his chance to play lights out. Then and only then we can discuss.

I agree, we're not there yet and I suspect we wont get there either. We got two really tough defenses coming-up, lots of travel etc..
The good news is that it'll basically be neutral or even Viking favorites in the stands over there - much better than at the Dawg Pound and 3 Rivers.
I expect Wentz to continue to be efficient and play well - but no QB schisms.
