Definitely must-see TV, but it sucks that the two games we all want to watch the most are the last two games of week one. On a related note, the NFL started Thursday night openers in 2002. In 24 seasons, the Vikings have never once played in a Thursday opener.

Swedish meatballs, hot wings with blue cheese and nursing Miller Lites a good portion of the day. It all starts with coffee and Baileys at an hour much too early for a weekend day. Viking flag ready and waiting. Shit weather weekend forecast so no pool time before kickoff, but I'll survive. ![]()

Thats a good routine! It's been hot, muggy and smoky here all summer. Canadian wildfires are getting worse, not better. I personally hate it. But you know what happened the last 3 days? Mother nature blew in some cold air (left the smoke out) and it feels like football now. Was 45 degrees in the back yard this morning with a good, stiff breeze. My Labrador approved.

We've also had one Saturday night opener and 7 MNF openers including this weekend. 7 of the 9 games on the road, 3 wins 5 losses pending this Monday. All games versus NFC opponents.
