Goessling "Thielen Bombshell"

That said, I totally agree that CB is a more serious concern (team-wise), but keeping your young QB surrounded by a quality support system is a very viable concern as well.

Depends on what bandaid means to you....For me that means he's relied on more the first 3 weeks than after JA is back.

At the end of the day? That WR 3 is probably nothing more than 498 yds and 4-5 tds for the season.

Just a guess....Someone will correct me if I'm guessing wrong.

Definition of band-aid aside, I think I’m agreeing with your previous comments.  It seems like a lot of people are thinking this is to replace Addison for 3 weeks and that it’s a bad deal because of that.  If the Vikings were only concerned about weeks 1-3, they’d just figure it out with what they had, they wouldn’t be trading all these people for low round draft picks and having extensive negotiations over Thielen.  I think if they’re putting in this much effort, they are probably concerned about more than just Addison.

I've said from the start this won't happen because Carolina wants him on the team.   They just increased his pay last spring.  He was Young's #1 target.   But I'm sure if they could fleece Kwesi they might do it.

I think this is the case. But the 30 and under Viking's podcast enthusiasts on Twitter need their hyperbolic fuel. If any deal happens with Thielen at this point, KAM is getting bent over. The only caveat is that if KOC feels that Adam will help in other ways with JJ than on the field. I'm a fan of the intangibles, they are more impactful than most people think.

He'd actually be a decent WR3 possession type guy but I think younger cheaper options are out there.

Imaginary trade pumpers always see their side of the purported deal and ignore the requirements of the trade partner, which is why the idea just dies a slow, quiet death while they move on to the next fantasy.

The Minnesota Vikings have worked out a trade with the Carolina Panthers to reunite with wide receiver Adam Thielen, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

The Panthers will receive a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 fourth-rounder while the Vikings get Thielen, a conditional 2026 seventh-round selection, and 2027 fifth-round pick, Rapoport adds.

Just when I thought Kwesi was figuring it out... he overpays for a 35 yr old WR.

Kwesi got fleeced, no way we should have given up more than a 6th, to include a 4th is ridiculous. Have no confidence in him at all when it comes to drafting or trades.
