OT: Well of course the stock is tanking!

The brand is tired, the stores are run down, the food isn't very good (I speak from experience), the customer base is aging and sales are flat at best.

But I didn't know such a boring rebrand of a ho-hum to begin with corporate logo could inspire the hot and bothered lunacy in this thread.   Invest your passion in something that matters cuz this doesn't.   Adios amigos.

Yeah, but this isn't about the logo at all. It's about how this simple logo refresh has been tortured and squeezed until it fits into a "woke" narrative.

Well bloody hell, look what happened to this thread..

C'mon people.

MY INTENT of this was from strictly a brand marketing perspective - nothing to do with Friggin politics.

I worked in Marketing/Research for over 20 years for one of the largest food mfgrs in America and did plenty of research around the power of brands and how to build them. Brands that have been around 50+ years and loved by generations.

Good lord, knock off the f'ing woke/maga shit already.

Life is too short - go give someone a hug who needs it instead.

As far as that logo goes? It abandoned core principles and the people who made the decision to evolve to that soul-less logo were mislead or stoopid or both imo.

Well...this turned to a big steaming turd. How about we just all agree to not post in this thread until a Mod can move it to the sensitive topics?

Sure, but as my dad used to say, you can't fix stupid so don't follow it over a cliff trying to.

There are now a wide assortment of talking points passed out with marching orders among the army of morons on the right. "Virtue signaling" is my current favorite.

This is a term devised by a British wingnut to marginalize those who actually care about other humans on the planet. It's been adopted by the American right. They can't figure out why people care about people in "shithole" countries like Gaza, and so now they have a term to dismiss those people. They don’t give a shit about people in Syria and so now they have a term to dismiss them. They don’t even give a shit about poverty in their own country. And because they don’t, they can’t fathom the idea that some do...that it must be fake. Or signals of virtue.

White man? LOL. My goodness, you are so vulnerable to this shit. I know you're not the smartest guy on the planet, but think about why you've been led to believe this. That's a good place to start.
Dude, I love how tough you are on here.  You can call so many names and say so many things you never would in person.  Congratulations on that.  Remember we've met.  I know exactly your intellect and capabilities to back up all your false bravado.

You're a good man purple.  I agree with your assessment that the logo was basically iconic and thus replacing it made no sense.   I have my beliefs for why, but I agree that I love the detailed logo that they had and replacing with whatever that is and for whatever reason is just plain dumb.

This is a good point. Or as I used to say, who's the bigger idiot? The moron or the one responding to him? So yes, it's time to move this to sensitive topics. Those dogs will eat it up. There are literally people on that board who still believe the 2020 election was stolen, that climate change is a hoax, and that the COVID vaccines are actually killing people. I'd rather go find a flat-earth forum and see if I can get them to understand how their middle-school educations have failed them, than try to "debate" issues with the folks playing smart in that river of stupid.

The greatest thing is you believe your own bluster ACLU lover.  Oh, and then you couldn't help but express your superiority of thought and virtue in indirectly replying.  You're awesome.  lol

You are playing a large role in torturing and squeezing this topic into the woke-not woke conversation. If there was an award for trying to take something non-political and agitating everyone else with your political takes, you'd be strongly in the running to win.
